Energy management is an increasingly important and concerning element of any operating budget and any operator’s day-to-day task list. Addressing energy efficiency and utilizing energy wisely is among the most important ways that organizations can reduce their carbon footprint, but it also goes straight to the bottom line. Few people I know have spent more time thinking on the subject of standardizing energy management best practices and engaging global energy experts to help drive greater profits through this critical tool than today’s guest, Paul Webb.
He’s the founder of B2B Energy, and through his company and trainings he helps consistently drive down an organizations' gas & electricity consumption, reducing their carbon footprint and increasing their profits. Paul and I dig back into the very beginning stages of his 40 years’ experience in the energy industry which started out with training in Nuclear Power! Paul has designed software for energy management, written multiple books on the topic, and even hosts a podcast discussing how important Energy topics are in the global climate narrative. Along the way, he’s helped save over a billion kWh of energy for many organizations.
Paul discussed how when he worked at the nuclear power station, he would drive through hoards of protesters objecting to nuclear waste becoming nuclear weapons. He would listen to the turbines screaming, producing the energy which also got him thinking, “rather than generate energy and all this waste, why don't we save it?” Now he’s on a mission to educate and qualify energy experts around the world who together can help drive down energy consumption and waste, thus reducing carbon emissions to save our planet.
Paul Webb is an Energy Expert and Technical Adviser, helping businesses understand how to manage their energy consumption and implement strategic ways to reduce monthly/yearly costs.
