I’ve been getting to know today's featured clean energy entrepreneur, Wattmonk founder Ankit Sheoran, over the last few months. I must say that I was astounded to hear the traction Ankit and his team at Wattmonk have had helping the solar industry’s installers get more projects done. The numbers they’re moving for permitting packages are staggering, but it definitely points to how one of the most common bottlenecks in the residential solar installation process often comes down to manpower and man(or woman) hours. Still, it’s increasingly important to get facetime with customers as we emerge from the pandemic travel restrictions, so I was able to catch up in-person with Ankit on his recent trip to the US when we were both at the RE Plus Northeast show in February. 

It was delightful to meet Ankit in person finally in Boston and learn more about why he sees the US market as such a key component to the global energy transition.  Special thanks to our mutual friend Anthony Conklin for making the connection and for bringin Wattmonk to my attention. Ankit’s team is quite literally moving mountains for their clients as one of the fastest growing offshore system design & permitting companies in the industry.
